Then you need to use the Office Hours system. Once a week, every week, selected Lindens have "office hours" - times when they are in-game at their home office and available to talk. Different Lindens have different formats for office hour - some prefer to do a structured talk on a particular topic, while others have a more free-form approach - but all are worth going along to if you're interested.
Finding out when and where an office hour is is simple, as the times and dates for many of them are published on Google Calendar (search for "Inworld office hours for lindens", and in iCal format here. You can find a full list of Lindens and their office hours - including the ones which don't publish them on Google - at the Second Life Wiki.
If you're a coder and are interested in helping fix bugs in the Second Life client, there's a special meeting for you - Monday at 3pm SLT there's Bug Triage, where bugs are prioritised in importance.
